I never liked the Q character....Wikipedia says that he is "an extra-dimensional being. The human characters do not know how he came to exist. He has power over time, space, the laws of physics, and reality itself. He is capable of changing reality and even the past when he wants to" In other words, he is God since no other being could achieve such feats. Since Q has all the attributes of a God, then why is it that he does not have the infinite wisdom that comes with *being* a God? Why bother with all the soap-opera drama with Pic-head? Needless to say, I find the Q character utterly unrealistic and stupid. He is not a character from science fiction but from fantasy. Q behaves as any other human would who, given enormous power, would abuse it as he sees fit because humans without a heart are dicks. It's really tedious, boring, unrealistic, artificial, and regressive that you have all these superheroes in science fiction who have all this amazing powers but all of them did not get, in addition to their powers, the super-knowledge needed to use such powers wisely. These superhero characters have the emotional and moral intelligence of a teenager. That's why as you get older, as I have, these characters become boring because you outgrow them. However, you still have many adults who are fanatics about Sci-fi. It just goes to show you they still think like teenagers. I can only hope that Sci-Fi can evolve into something more meaningful and profound hence reveals that there is more to being human than we realize.
